Rogue Johnsen has performed and studied and with artists whose roots dig deep into the history of Rock and Blues. In addition to studying with Chuck Israels and Ron Thompson, Rogue holds the rare distinction of being the only student of the great Charles Brown.
He’s toured extensively with W.C. Clark, Archie Bell and the Drells, and Miss Lavelle White, and has been a sideman for such legends as Bo Diddley, Johnny Adams, Norton Buffalo, Larry “Arkansas” Davis, Sam Andrew (Janis Joplin) and Will Scarlet (Hot Tuna).
Rogue and his trio have been the opening act for B.B. King, Albert King, Earl King, Buddy Guy, Bobby Bland, James Cotton, Maceo Parker, Luther Allison, Dave Mason, Koko Taylor, Robben Ford, A. C. Reed, Syl Johnson, The Blind Boys of Alabama, and The Gospel Hummingbirds.
